Second Time Around

In life and love, relationships are a matter of the heart, but if you've just been walked out on by your live in boyfriend because he feels he needs to get his life on track and become financially stable to complete some predisposed plan, and if all goes well in 5 years; maybe you'll be able to say "I Do?" What happens to your heart? What about you and your plans? Would you try to make him stay or pack up your broken heart and move forward? This is Korie and Darrin's story. (Hmm is the author the character he writes about?)

Korie is now on her own, having picked up the pieces of her broken heart and life, working hard to make her business flourish. But when she meets DeVaughn Harris, who has financial freedom and eyes for her, does she try to open her heart again to love? What will happen if Darrin changes his mind? Maybe he will realize that his plan had flaws and Korie wasn't worth walking away from. Could money be the glue that holds love together? Or will they realize that love don't cost a thing, and maybe love is better the second time around!

This was a interesting book, a bit repetitious in some places and a little over the top with all the description of what things cost. I did enjoy the sexual tension between the characters, and the relationships with other players in this story. This 400 plus page book could have used a bit more editing and a little less imagery. In spite of this issues described, it was a good read, it won't go down as one of my favorite Darrin Lowery books but it definitely won't keep me from reading his other titles in the future.
